Mind the Gap is a project that I have been developing over last two years. It consists of a limited edition linocut prints, woodcut prints, performance and short video.

Project is a response to my commute between Balham, Clapham Junction and Kingston. It captures small (extra)ordinary details we encounter on our everyday commute.

While commuting most of us are trying to avoid eye contact, not being interested in people around, on contrary - trying to abstract oneself from the surrounding presence of fellow commuters, looking down, seeing only the feet. Feet, resp. shoes appear throughout whole project. I use them literally to draw attention to their wonderful details as well as metaphorically as a mean of transport from place to place, from past to future, from outside to inside or as a mirror of our own uniqueness.
